Version 2.13.8

New and Changed Features

The backup software now supports Mac OS X El Capitan (10.11).

Issues Fixed

  • Fixed an issue that prevented the window from opening when you clicked the Network Filter button in the backup software Performance tab.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the advanced backup options from working properly on OS X Yosemite (10.10).

Issues Fixed

  • Fixed an issue that occurred when a large number of files were removed from being backed up.
  • Fixed an issue that required administrators to enter a CLI command to enforce approved encryption key types for users. Now when users are using an unapproved encryption key type, the backup software alerts the users of this situation and guides them through the setup wizard again to reset their encryption key and back up their files again.

Issues Fixed

  • You can now install the backup software on OS X Mavericks (10.9) and Yosemite (10.10) without seeing a security warning. Users running Snow Leopard (10.6) or Lion (10.7) may see a security warning when installing this version, but this version is still safe to use.

Administrators can now prevent users from changing their backup selections and backup sets.

  • Fixed an issue that caused the backup software to attempt a backup when the computer was about to sleep.
  • Fixed an issue that caused backups to fail after the backup software was set up with a personal encryption key.
  • Improved the process of canceling of a backup.
  • Fixed an issue that caused inaccurate notifications about backup success.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the auth.type command to fail to automatically start the activation process for corporate credentials.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the backup software to identify iWorks bundled files as folders.

New and Changed Features

  • Performance Improvements

    Several improvements have been made to the backup software to make backing up, deleting files, and resuming backups quicker and more efficient.

  • Re-added Capability to Back up iCal Data

    New users on Snow Leopard can again select iCal to be included in backup sets.

Issues Fixed

  • Fixed an issue that occurred when directly selecting an alias for backup.
  • Fixed an issue where the backup software incorrectly reported low storage limit warnings for certain Partner configurations.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the backup software to unexpectedly stop while backing up to Data Shuttle.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the backup software to unexpectedly stop while backing up because the throttle limit was set too low.
  • Fixed an issue where the backup software failed to back up the changes to a file. If this process fails repeatedly, the backup software now re-uploads the whole file.
  • Fixed an issue with Data Shuttle that caused backups to take too long to end when the Shuttle drive was full.
  • Fixed an issue where the backup software timed out after backing up changes to a file.
  • Fixed an issue that caused a connection error when iWork files were not backed up correctly.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the backup software to stop backing up when it was interrupted by the computer sleeping unexpectedly.
