New and Changed Features
- Enhanced Quota Bar for Users with Large Amount of Available Storage
If you have a large amount of available storage but are only using a small part of it, you can now see your used storage more easily in the bar at the bottom of the Mozy Preferences window. The new bar makes your used space more visible by not showing your entire available storage. Instead, your used storage takes up more space in the bar, and the bar appears torn to show that you have leftover space not represented in the bar.
- Automatically Back Up Chrome Bookmarks
A new suggested folder has been added for backing up Google Chrome bookmarks. If you are installing the backup software, you will automatically get the new suggested folder. If you are already using Mozy, you must run Setup Assistant again to get the new suggested folder. To do this, open the Mozy Preferences window, hold down the option key, and then click on Reset Preferences and go through the wizard. Be aware that running Setup Assistant again will delete your settings changes, files selections and custom rules.
- Enhanced Backup Speed when Files are Removed from Backup Sets
When you remove files from backup sets, the files are now removed more quickly.
Issues Fixed
- An issue where the backup software mistakenly backed up empty files has been fixed.
- An issue where the Mozy icon in the menu bar displayed an inaccurate total size of the files backed up during the last backup has been fixed.
- An issue where the backup software did not recognize when a filename had changed and uploaded the file again as a new file with a new filename has been fixed.
