Backup for Mac 2.10 Release Notes
Article Reference ID: 000272850
Version 2.10.0
New and Changed Features
- Added New Bar to Preferences Window that Shows Used and Available Space
At the bottom of the Preferences window, there is a new bar that shows how much of your space in the Mozy cloud is consumed. To open the Preferences window, click the Mozy icon
in the menu bar and select Open Mozy Preferences.
The bar is divided into segments. The segment at the left shows the total size of all files currently selected for backup on your computer. If you have more than one device backed up to the same Mozy user, another segment will show the space used by your other devices. Finally, the segment at the right shows how much space is still available. As the available space falls below thresholds, an icon appears next to the bar, first yellow then red.
- Mac OS X Leopard (10.5) Users Cannot Use the 2.10 Version of the Backup Software
Mozy supports Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6) and later on the 2.10 version of the backup software. If you are using OS X Leopard (10.5) or earlier, you will continue to use Mozy version 2.9 or earlier. You will not be automatically updated to version 2.10. All Mozy backup and restore services will continue with no interruption or change for computers running Leopard.
- Improved Security by Removing the C-key File from the Computer
To improve security for Enterprise users, c-key files are no longer stored on the computer being backed up but are instead deleted immediately from the local installation.
