New and Changed Features
- Download or Restore a Directory Directly from the Command Line
You can restore an entire directory of files directly from the command line. Previously, you could restore a single file directly from the command line. You could also go to Mozy online, select files and directories, and download a restore package file. The package file could then be used along with the backup software to download the files. Now you have an additional option to download a single directory of files and subdirectories using the download command. You can specify the extensions and a backup date and time of the files you want to download.
- Download or List Files by Date and Time
The download and ls commands now includes a --date option that lets you specify the date and time of the files and directories you want to download or list. This option replaces the --version option in the download command, which required you to determine version numbers.
- Download or Restore Files to Their Original Location
Backed up files can now be downloaded or restored to the location from which they were backed up by omitting the output path in the download command. For more information, see Linux download command.
- Restore Files Sent on USB Drives Using the Backup Software
The backup software can now be used to restore files received on USB drives from Mozy. The decrypt command has been updated to support this new feature. The --device-key option has been added to the command for specifying the shipping encryption key. This new feature is now available in the backup software; however, files will continue to be restored from USB drives using the previous method until the needed infrastructure is put in place, at which time the documentation will be updated to reflect this new restoration method.
- Various Performance and Stability Enhancements
Various changes have been made to improve the performance and stability of the backup software.
