Version 2.3.0

New or Changed Features

  • Mozy Restore Manager can now restore server application services backed up with the Mozy backup software for Windows and support from Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS).
  • Restore Manager can now be used to restore files on USB drives ordered from Mozy.

Fixed Issues

  • (Windows) Fixed an issue (first identified in Version 2.2) where Restore Manager would quit when extracting a compressed archive package containing a file with \r in its name.
  • Fixed an issue that slowed down the loading of a restore package file (.mzd).

Known Issues

If you are an administrator restoring to a 64-bit Windows server on which a version of Restore Manager older than 2.3 is already installed, you must manually uninstall Restore Manager. This is because only versions 2.3 and later of Restore Manager provide the 64-bit version required to properly restore server files backed up with a VSS backup set.
