Since Mozy will still be storing your files during the time the machine is not backing up, there is no way to suspend the account. Part of what you are paying for is to have those files securely stored for when you do start using the machine again.
If you were to cancel your account to avoid billing during this time, your files would be deleted and you would not have access to them again once you started using the machine.
