Indeed, you can backup ZIP files. Files with the.zip extension are considered data files, and can be backed up the same way as documents, pictures, and other data files.
Note: When restoring zip files we recommend using the Restore Manager as there may be issues caused by long file names when restoring using other restore methods.
Programs that generate backup files in the form of a zip file often will recreate the zip file with the same name and delete the old zip. This causes Mozy to upload the new file, and schedule the deleted file to be removed from the Mozy servers. The new file will take longer to backup as it is a new file.
