About MozyPro passwords

MozyPro accounts use two different passwords.
The Administrator Password is used to log into the Support Portal in addition to the Admin Console at secure.mozy.com/login.
The User Password is used to log into the Mozy software Settings, during the installation of Mozy, when requesting restores, or online if the online login is enabled by the account's Administrator.

Note: Changing one password will not change the other.

For Administrators:

To change Administrator's password for the Admin Console or Support Portal:

  1. Log in to the Admin Console at secure.mozy.com/login.
  2. Click Account Details.
  3. Next to Password click Change.
  4. In the Old Password field, type your old password.
  5. In both the New Password fields, type your new password.
  6. Click Submit.

If you do not remember your administrative password, browse to secure.mozy.com/login and click on Forgot Your Password.

To change User password:

  1. Log in to the Admin Console at secure.mozy.com/login.
  2. Click Search/List Users.
  3. Click the email address of the user whose password you want to change.
  4. Click Change User Password in the upper right hand corner.
  5. Type the new password for the user in the Password field and again in the Confirm Password field.
  6. Select if the new password will be set as a Temporary password.
  7. Click Save Changes.
For Users:
  1. If the Adminstrator of the account has enabled online login for the users, you need to login to the special url provided by the Administrator.
           It is called subdomain and has the form of http:// <subdomainName>.mozypro.com.
           To change your User Password, use the Forgot Password link at the subdomain.
           Users will not receive password reset emails from Forgot Password at mozy.com/login.
 
  1. If the online login is not enabled on your account, contact your Administrator who can change the password for you. You can locate the Administrator's email address by following the steps in    Email address used for Mozy account.
 

Note: Passwords must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be at least 8 characters long
  • Passwords must contain at least 3 of the following types of characters:
    1. Special Characters
    2. Capital Letters
    3. Lowercase Letters
    4. Numbers
  • The same password cannot be reused within 1 generation


Note: After the user password is updated, it will need to be updated in the Mozy software installed on the user's computer(s).

Windows

  1. Right-click the MozyPro icon in the system tray.
  2. Select Settings then More Settings. 
  3. Enter the new password when prompted.  

Mac

  1. Click the MozyPro icon in the top menu bar.
  2. Select Open MozyPro Preferences.
  3. Enter the new password when prompted.
